One of the highlights of any Dream Destination Conference (DDC) is the FFSDDC2016PuertoRico-large
announcement of the next year’s destination. DDC 2015’s meeting was not exception.

FFS Co-CEO Debbie Gerlicher used the French proverb, “It is impossible to overdo luxury,” and a presentation that offered tantalizing clues to build excitement among the 91 couples sitting in the business meeting on Hawaii’s Big Island. She shared with the group that qualifiers for DDC 2016 would be staying at a resort of unparalleled luxury and comfort, offering first-class services and amenities. This dream destination was being hailed as the new playground of the rich and famous.

Mostly, importantly, Debbie explained that winners would have full, unencumbered access to this island paradise. She announced for the first time FFS would host a total resort buyout for its Dream Destination Conference main trip. The audience erupted in cheers, when Debbie named the five-star, five-diamond St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort on the island of Puerto Rico as that destination.

Situated in a former coconut grove, the luxurious St. Regis was carefully planned and built to blend in with its environment. With raised walkways throughout that encourage exploration while protecting native wildlife, the St. Regis is the first and only resort in the region to have been awarded Audubon International’s Gold Signature Sanctuary certification.

The resort is located between a beautiful river and a rainforest, offering plenty of activities for the adventurous traveler. From the onsite boathouse and nature center, guests can try kayaking and sailing. If they prefer to stay on land, there’s biking and guided hikes. Probably the best way to see the island’s natural beauty is high above the treetops, flying along one of the world’s longest zip lines.

Guests who prefer more relaxing pursuits also will find plenty to do. Whether it’s enjoying a good book poolside, booking a spa treatment, or taking a leisurely nature walk, the St. Regis has something for everyone.

DDC 2016 Elite qualifiers will enjoy two additional days at the majestic Vanderbilt Hotel on Condado Beach in San Juan. A recent $200 million renovation has rejuvenated this landmark hotel to its original glory. Built in 1919 in the Spanish Revival architectural style, the Vanderbilt has been called the Grand Dame of the second oldest city in the Americas. This oceanfront hotel offers elegantly appointed rooms and world-class service. Located near the historic sights and exciting nightlife of San Juan, the Elite destination hotel, the Vanderbilt, is the perfect counterpoint to the serene beauty offered by the Main destination’s St. Regis.

Debbie encouraged everyone to plant their flag with FFS in Puerto Rico and to begin immediately to focus personal and team goals on qualifying for Dream Destination Conference 2016 – Puerto Rico.
